Good News from F.A.S.T

Many thanks to Jermaine Dunn,

Athletic Director/Physical Education Teacher
Friendship Academy of Science and Technology
801 South Highland Ave.
Baltimore, Md. 21224Monica; Burley, Gregory
Subject: FAST Varsity Soccer Team

Mr. Dunn writes:

In our first year of having Varsity Soccer we struggled and only won 1 game. But "WE Could Not Hide Our Cheetah Pride" and bounced back this year to win the Baltimore City Division II Championship going undefeated in our division. With a very young team, having only 2 seniors we are moving forward and preparing for the Regional Playoffs on our way to the Maryland State Championships.

In our first year of Varsity Volleyball we have made major strides already winning 5 games with 2 remaining. The Varsity has qualified to compete in the State Regional Playoffs with a chance to win the States as well. The team has shown major growth and will return the majority of the team next year.

Fast JV Volleyball team is currently 9-1 and is in 1st place in the division. With only 1 game remaining the JV has the chance to clinch the division and play for the Baltimore City Championships. With a talented JV team that will move up to Varsity next year, the future for FAST Volleyball is very bright............

We played our first ever Unified Sports Tennis match at Western High School this week and won 4-0. Unified Sports is sponsored by the Special Olympics and gives the students in our school with disabilities the opportunity to compete in Athletic competition against other schools in Maryland.

We are doing BIG things at FAST...........
