Friendship
Collegiate Academy’s football is featured in Sports Illustrated’s newest
online series “Underdogs” that tells the stories of inspiring high school
football teams around the country. The segment shows the team’s struggles to succeed without a playing field, locker room and barely
enough equipment. The piece
highlights students who are going to Division I schools in the against all odds
and highlights Coach Aazaar Abdul-Rahim who brought the football program to
Friendship Collegiate. The
truly inspirational segment
features displays how the team finished last year with a 9 – 1 records with an
astonishing nineteen players who received football scholarships.
