DEAR COMMUNITY PARTNER:
We’re happy to announce that Positive Choices, Inc. is hosting its 10th Annual FREE Youth Non-Contact Instructional Camp on June 23rd 2012 8 -5pm at Eastern High School located in the center of our diverse community here in the District of Columbia. Once again, we are bringing outstanding professional and collegiate athletes together as positive role models to interact directly with the District of Columbia inner-city youth ages 7-14. With one voice, we are communicating the importance of staying in school, staying fit and positive youth behaviors.
Our celebrity status guest instructors and panelist are seasoned professional, current and past NFL players along with collegiate athletes and coaches who want you to be every bit as pleased with this experience as the hundreds of youth expected to attend. We know you are just as concerned about the positive development of youth in our community as you are about the services you provide to citizens of the District of Columbia.. This is why we are reaching for your support our efforts in the community..
During the summer months of 2012, we are preparing to offer over 300 inner-city engaging, empowering, and educational activities that promote and provide sustained health wellness and awareness, academic, plus social-emotional mentoring as our response to assist our community in improving the quality of life for disadvantaged youth from ages 10 – 18 years of age.
Our annual instructional camp serves as our primary source for funding our summer youth camps operating from June to August. We are also now garnering support to expand our programming to support youth year-around especially at the middles school level. Research indicates students as early middle school are identified as potential at- risk students for dropping out of school. Positive Choices, Inc., is accepting the call to duplicate our success with the community at-large.
With your support, many youth will benefit from our efforts to expand our services to the community- at- large. Attached you will find our sponsorship package to guide your partnership level. Please, don’t forget to stop by on June 23, 2012 to witness a fun filled day for youth of all ages as Positive Choices, Inc. demonstrates how we give back each year due to the kindness of your support.
