ESPNU Schedules Friendship with Ohio Football Power, Taft

Sunday, August 28th
Location: Taft High School Cincinnati, OH
Time: 11 am

Description:

The Knights open their season against Taft High School in Cincinnati on ESPN. ESPN Rise is dedicated to High School athletics.

The Taft High football program is impressive. The Senators moved from a Division IV athletic team to Division III. Rising senior and defensive end, Adolphus Washington, received national attention playing in the Under Armour game in Florida. He has offers to play for Boston College and Ohio State.

Our Knights were outstanding last year. The 2011 team had the largest group (14) of full tuition scholarships in D.C. history. Percy Goings will continue his football career this fall in the quarterback position for Columbia University. Earning a G.P.A of 4.1, Percy is a fine example of Friendship's commitment to the highest standards of academic achievement. Friendship Students participate in early college and hold City records for passing advanced placement tests.

Friendship standouts on the ESPNU, August game will certainly include Defensive Tackle, Eddie Goldman, one of the most sought after players in the Country.
