The Boys Basketball team has started their season off on the right track by going 4-0 so far. The boys opened their season up vs. Cardozo High School with a 72 to 41 win. Sophomore guard Michael Warren, in his varsity debut led the way with 19 points. Three other Knights scored double digits, with Junior Dante Thorpe having 12 points, Sophomore Byron Ashe with 12 points and Senior DaQuan Vaughan with 12 points.
This past weekend the Knights played in the King William Classic in which they went 2-0 beating Greenville High School (VA) 82 TO 51 and King William High (VA) 67 to 31. Leading the way for the Knights was Senior Robert Folk, who won MVP of the classic scoring 24 points, 25 rebounds, and 11 blocks in two days of action. Senior DaQuan Vaughan led the team in scoring over the weekend and was a big part of our success.
Tomorrow the young Knights will face it's biggest test of the season as they will go on the road to take on national rank Montrose Christain. Game time is slated with JV at 6:00pm and Varsity at 7:15pm.
On behalf of the team I want to thank everyone for your support.
