Friendship Public Charter School
On Monday, April 12, the Landon School of Bethesda hosted the Blow Pierce baseball team for what turned out to be a very competitive match. The game resulted in a loss for Blow Pierce.
However, the next day I was contacted by a Landon representative who wanted to commend the baseball team on their sportsmanship and effort. In fact, he was so impressed with Blow Pierce, that he then requested our address so he could write a letter to our principal. I offered him Mr. Neal's e-mail address, but he said the baseball team's performance on and off the field deserved a hand-written letter.
I want to officially commend Rashad Rodgers, coach of the baseball team, for managing and maintaining a disciplined team whether we win or lose.
It's nice to know that we are representing Friendship in a positive way outside of the school walls.
