For Coach Rahim, leading the best football program in the District of Columbia means much more than “winning championships.”  The most important part is assisting at risk, inner-city students in obtaining full athletic scholarships and giving them the ability to obtain their degrees. Friendship counts more than 60 alumni currently in college on full athletic scholarships.
Coach Rahim’s program includes more than strength and conditioning.  He and his volunteer coaching staff also provide life skills  training, SAT Prep,  and college counseling.  The Coach and his staff also strive to instill leadership, self determination, and social responsibility.
With these attributes, it is no surprise that Coach Aazaar Abdul-Rahim has been nominated for the 2012 Coach of the Year Hoodie award.  Congratulations to the Coach from the entire  “Friendship Family.”
