MaxPrep has rated Friendship number 6 of 23 D.C. teams. That's a very good showing for a very young public, program that actually is in D.C.
There's not too much to quibble about, but I will. We certainly have to concede to Dematha, Good Counsel and probably MacNamara. But how do you get Gonzaga at number 4 and St. Johns at number 5? Anyone who watched our Gonzaga game knows that our win was no fluke. And, Gonzaga beat St. Johns on Saturday.
When you consider our overtime loss to Woodson, our only bad days were against the number one team in Maryland (Linganore), number 1 Dematha and a one point loss to the very tough Sallies in Deleware. A quick check of my map reveals that Dematha, Good Counsel and MacNamara aren't actually in D.C. While I'm at it, I might as well mention that none of the other schools are public. So for me, the Knights are number 1.
